The Evidence Nest
About
A publishing resource for parents who want honest, sourced answers. No noise.
The Evidence Nest was built by a parent who kept running into the same problem. The questions that actually keep you up at night rarely get straight answers. The mainstream advice is either too simple, too alarming, or too buried in academic language to be useful. Paediatricians have ten minutes. Books have four hundred pages. The internet has contradictions.
These guides exist to close that gap. Not as clinical advice; each one carries a clear disclaimer to that effect — but as honest, carefully sourced summaries of what the peer-reviewed research actually says, written for parents who want to understand, not just be reassured.
Every claim in every guide is traceable to a published source. Where the evidence is mixed or inconclusive, we say so. Where expert opinion diverges, we show both sides. The citations are there because they matter, not as decoration.
"The Evidence Nest is not a clinical service. It is a publishing resource. The guides are for informational and educational use only. For individual concerns about your child's health, behaviour, or development, please consult a qualified professional."
What we cite
The guides draw on peer-reviewed research from sources including the World Health Organization, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Psychological Association, and published academic journals in child development, clinical psychology, and family research.
Where a claim cannot be traced to a verifiable, correctly attributed source, it does not appear in the guide. That standard is non-negotiable and applied to every publication in the series.
A note on the guides
Each guide in the series covers a specific topic in child development or family life. They are written to be read in one sitting; long enough to actually answer the question, short enough to finish before the next thing starts. They are not a substitute for professional advice, and they do not pretend to be.
If a guide is not useful for your family, we offer a full refund within 14 days. No questions asked.
